Twenty twenty marks Eddie Bauer’s 100th anniversary. During that time, the company has built a legacy of exploration and innovation. From creating highly functional outdoor gear, to outfitting countless expeditions around the world, Eddie’s goal remains the same: to inspire and equip people to experience the outdoors.

STRATEGY

With its wide array of product lines over the past 100 years (including home goods and even Ford Broncos in the 90s!), the company that was all about finding your way in the outdoors seems to have lost its way in the market.

Working within Eddie's current brand, my aim was to highlight the company's inpirational past in order to help consumers associate the current brand with daring adventure.

_ After 100 years, how do I boost confidence in the brand?
_How can I cause consumers to reassociate the current brand with outdoor adventure?
_How might current events affect language and strategy?

CENTENNIAL BASECAMP

Though we are not currently able to get out and explore the world like we used to, that doesn't mean we can't be inspired for our next adventure! The Centennial Basecamp allows users to explore Eddie's rich history around the world from the safety of their homes.

The main screen of Basecamp. It allows users to click on countries around the world to see what part of Eddie's past happened there.

Here users get an overview of all the events that happened in the selected country.

This is where all the info comes into play. Users can read a quick overview of what happened that year, as well as scroll through a handful of images related to the event.

ATHLETE POP UP

After clicking on a Guide Program or All Outside Badge found on an Event Pop Up or Event Screen, the user can choose a person they want to know more about. The resulting screen will be just like the Event Screen, but with info and imagery of the selected person.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Eddie's social media posts will include what I like to call "Eddie Sightings," which work to foster continued interest in the Basecamp, and highlight events that might have been overlooked. Eddie Bauer followers are also encouraged to tag the company in their own "sightings" to show how they're using Eddie gear in their own backyards with a chance of being featured in the company's story.
